Due to the situation at hand, the Board has chosen to cancel the community work session originally scheduled for Monday evening March 16th.

We will reschedule at a later date.  However, the regular Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening has not been cancelled.

Pelham City Charter Schools has been awarded a United State Department of Justice Bureau of Juvenile Justice (BJA) Stop School Violence Technology and Threat Assessment Solutions for Safer Schools Program grant.  We have been working with a company named LiveSafe to implement the grant.

LiveSafe offers a safety program that gives students and parents the ability to report early-warning indicators of potential safety and security threats. The program is comprised of an App that allows parents, students, faculty, and staff to report suspicious activity, to report incidents, have access to emergency information, resources to access safety and security information, along with SafeWalk, which will virtually allow family, friends, and colleagues to monitor their location on a real-time app.

The grant will be for 3 years and will be available for our 1400+ students, our staff and parents.

We ask that we have a good showing to learn about the app and download it to your phones.  We will have a representative from the company talk to us about all the app has to offer.

In addition we will discuss bullying in our schools and provide opportunities for stakeholder input for our federal programs plans.
